One of the most popular Windows XP PowerToys has been rewritten so that it can work with Windows Vista and Windows 7, in 32-bit as well as 64-bit. The Image Resizer Powertoy Clone for Windows is available for free on CodePlex
After installing all you have to do is right clicking on the images you want to resize and select Resize Pictures (see image below).
This is very handy if you quickly want to resize a bunch of images to email to someone. You don't need to open Gimp/Paint/Expression Media/PhotoShop/Lightroom you can do this all from Explorer.
After you right click on the images and select Resize Pictures then the following box will pop up where you then can specify the size you want
You can download the Image Resizer Powertoy Clone tool from CodePlex here: http://phototoysclone.codeplex.com/Release/ProjectReleases.aspx?ReleaseId=26281
I just can't believe it took this long before it was available for Vista and Windows 7

RTM of Windows Vista SP1 Announced
Here's the timing for SP1 availability for current Windows Vista users:
In mid-March, we will release Windows Vista SP1 to Windows Update (in English, French, Spanish, German and Japanese) and to the download center on microsoft.com. Customers who visit Windows Update can choose to install Service Pack 1. If Windows Update determines that the system has one of the drivers we know to be problematic, then Windows Update will not offer SP1. Since we know that some customers may want to update to SP1 anyhow, the download center will allow anyone who wants to install SP1 to do so.
In mid-April, we will begin delivering Windows Vista SP1 to Windows Vista customers who have chosen to have updates downloaded automatically. That said, any system that Windows Update determines has a driver known to not update successfully will not get SP1 automatically. As updates for these drivers become available, they will be installed automatically by Windows Update, which will unblock these systems from getting Service Pack 1. The result is that more and more systems will automatically get SP1, but only when we are confident they will have a good experience.
The remaining languages will RTM in April.

What's New in Windows Vista SP1
Security
Provides security software vendors a more secure way to communicate with Windows Security Center.
Includes application programming interfaces (APIs) by which third-party security and malicious software detection applications can work with kernel patch protection on x64 versions of Windows Vista. These APIs help ISVs develop software that extends the functionality of the Windows kernel on x64 computers without disabling or weakening the protection offered by kernel patch protection.
Improves the security of running RemoteApp programs and desktops by allowing Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) files to be signed. Customers can differentiate user experiences based on publisher identity.
Adds an Elliptical Curve Cryptography (ECC) pseudo-random number generator (PRNG) to the list of available PRNGs in Windows Vista.
Enhances BitLocker Drive Encryption (BDE) to offer an additional multifactor authentication method that combines a key protected by the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) with a Startup key stored on a USB storage device and a user-generated personal identification number (PIN).

Fix: Unable to start debugging on the web server. Debugging failed because integrated Windows authentication is not enabled
FIX: Error message when you try to debug an ASP.NET 2.0 application in Visual Studio 2005 on a Windows Vista-based computer: "Unable to start debugging on the web server. Debugging failed because integrated Windows authentication is not enabled"
SYMPTOMS
In Windows Vista Home Basic or in Windows Vista Home Premium, you create a Microsoft ASP.NET 2.0 application by using Internet Information Services (IIS) 7.0. When you try to debug the application in Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, you receive the following error message:
Unable to start debugging on the web server. Debugging failed because integrated Windows authentication is not enabled. Please see Help for assistance.
CAUSE
This problem occurs because Windows Vista Home Basic and Windows Vista Home Premium do not contain the Windows Authentication module for IIS. When the client tries to automatically attach the debugger in an ASP.NET 2.0 application, the client sends a HTTP request that contains the DEBUG verb. This HTTP request is used to verify that the process of the application is running and to select the correct process to attach. This HTTP request must be authenticated by using Windows Authentication. However, Windows Vista Home Basic and Windows Vista Home Premium do not contain the Windows Authentication module for IIS. Therefore, the problem that is described in the 'Symptoms" section occurs.
RESOLUTION
Hotfix information
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, it is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Visual Studio 2005 service pack that contains this hotfix.
